COVID-19 Guidance for all Users 

These guidelines are for your safety and the safety of our volunteers and other users. The volunteers and management reserve the right to ask you to leave the premises if the guidelines are not being followed. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation. We are pleased to welcome you to The Bridge. 

SYMPTOMS 

  • Please do not attend if you feel unwell or if someone in your household is self isolating. 
  • If you start displaying symptoms of Covid-19 please let the volunteer know then leave the premises and follow the Public Health England Guidance.

  • The contact details you used to make the booking will be kept for 21 days and will be disposed of at the end of this period. 

ENTRY PROCEDURES

  • Entry is via the green gate at the side of The Bridge, at the top of the path that leads up from Chevening Road (not the gate opposite Pistachios cafe)
  • You will be asked to show the booking confirmation email on arrival (on your phone is fine, you do not need to bring a printed copy)

HAND SANITISERS 

  • Please use the Antibacterial Hand Sanitisers available in the entry and exit and regularly during your stay in the Bridge.

TOILETS

  • If you need to go to the toilet, you will need to take your child/ren with you.

  • Antibacterial wipes will be available in the toilet. Please wipe the toilet, tap, changing tray and door handle after use with the wipes provided.

  • Baby changing facilities are available in the toilet. Please use the antibacterial wipes provided before and after each use and use your own changing mat.

CLEANING

  • Adults will be responsible for children hand sanitising between using each new play equipment or undertaking new activities. Please take time to read the sign displayed on site about use of the playground equipment.

  • Regular cleaning will be carried out of Bridge toys and equipment and we ask you not to bring toys into the grounds.

  • Please remember to use hand sanitisers regularly during the session. Be aware that you may have to touch items such as playground equipment when you are looking after your child/ren. 

FOOD AND DRINK

  • No snacks or drinks will be served in the kitchen.

  • No food allowed.

  • You are welcome to bring a water bottle or hot drink with a secure lid in your personal reusable cups from home or the cafe. 

BOOKINGS

  •  Advance bookings via https://www.thebridgegreenwich.co.uk/bookings/ only. Some drop-in spaces are available on the day. 

  • If there is not enough capacity for the time slot you want to book, please add yourself to the waiting list by emailing [email protected] . If a slot becomes available, we will notify you in advance.

PAYMENTS

CANCELLATION POLICY

  • If you have a booking and can no longer make that session, please inform us as soon as possible using the Contact Form or by emailing [email protected] so your time slot can be allocated to others on the waiting list.

  • Cancellations made no later than 1 hour before session start time will be remade for another day if spaces are available. (No refund is possible) 

  • There is no option for rebooking for another day if you do not inform us that you are unable to attend.

  • Social distancing measures will be imposed subject to Government guidelines. 

FACE COVERINGS

  • Current guidance does not mandate the use of face coverings. Although wearing a mask is now a personal choice, to protect our volunteers and staff, we would ask that you wear a face covering whilst accessing the inside space unless you are exempt.

ENTRY & EXIT PROCEDURES

  • Entry is via the green gate at the side of The Bridge, at the top of the path that leads up from Chevening Road (not the gate opposite Pistachios cafe)
  • You will be asked to show the booking confirmation email on arrival (on your phone is fine, you do not need to bring a printed copy)
  • Exit is via the top gate next to the cafe.
  • You ticket allows you a certain amount of time on-site; we must then ask that you leave promptly via the top gate so that the centre can be re-set and cleaned for the next session.

  • Please use the Antibacterial Hand Sanitisers available in the entry and exit and regularly during your stay in the Bridge.

CONDITIONS OF PRIVATE PARTY HIRE (Outdoor Only)

From May 17th 2021

1) BOOKING, PAYMENT AND CONTRACT

1.1 Enquiries, bookings to use the venue for a private party and payments must be made via the website https://www.thebridgegreenwich.co.uk

1.2 In order to secure the date and time it is necessary to pay in full in advance. From 17th May we are able to offer use of the outside space (only) for parties.  There will be no access to the inside of The Bridge building including toilets.  Toilets are available at Pistachios Café next door to The Bridge (inside East Greenwich Pleasuance).

1.3 Giant Games (which includes Giant Connect 4, Jumbo Size Jenga and Mini Roller Coaster) are available for an extra £30.00 and can be booked through The Bridge Website Shop.

1.4 The Hire Agreement Period is the Period of Hire is as specified in the Booking Confirmation.

1.5 Receipt of the Party Payment, along with your agreement to these Conditions, and the Booking Confirmation, forms The Contract.

1.6 Deposit: The Party Payment includes a Deposit of £50 required to cover any damage /or Breach of Conditions during the Hire Agreement Period.  The amount of Deposit retained in the event of a Breach or Considered Breach of the Conditions (including, but not limited to damage, or over-running of events), will be made entirely at the discretion of the General Manager (supported by the Board) whose decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.  This condition is without prejudice to any other right of set off exercisable by the Board.

1.7 Refunds: Once a booking has been made and paid for refunds will not be made in the event of cancellation by the hirer. The Party Payment can only be refunded if the party cannot go ahead due to Government Covid regulations and/or guidance at the relevant time which means that The Bridge is closed and/or unavailable for hire as a party venue.

2) CONDITIONS OF USE

2.1 The Hirer can make use of the venue solely as described within these Conditions and the Booking Confirmation.  Any other use of the venue may result in the immediate (on the spot) cancellation of the party and all guests being asked to vacate the premises immediately.  The Bridge will not accept any liability for any damage and/or loss sustained arising from or connected with unauthorised use of the venue.

2.2 The Hirer is responsible for any damage to the venue and its contents (inside or outside), including (but not restricted to) any damage to playground equipment, raised beds, benches, trees, plants and garden, regardless of whether or not The Hirer had authorised access to those areas under the provisions of this Contract.  All damage, however minor, must be reported to the Party Host at the end of the Hire Period and failure to do so will be considered a Breach of the Conditions and may result in the retention of part or all of the paid Deposit. The Venue will be inspected at the end of the Hire Period and any damage reported to the General Manager (see 1.5). 

2.3 The Bridge East Greenwich CIC shall not be liable for any loss or damage to person or property from any cause whatsoever (excluding negligence or default of The Bridge) arising out of or in connection with the hirer’s use and occupation of the venue.

2.4   Children are to be supervised at all times by adults.

2.5 Children and adults are not permitted in the Forest School site; this area is only used for specially run Forest School, outdoor education and therapeutic sessions.

2.6 The Bridge building will be closed throughout the party and no access is allowed.  The Bridge awnings can be put up by the Party Host at the beginning of the Hire Period if required.

2.7 The outside storage container should remain closed to both adults and children for the duration of the party. In the event that children do, contrary to the provisions of this contract, access the outside storage container, adults should be aware that it contains hazardous materials that pose a risk of injury or accident. 

2.8 The hirer is responsible for dealing with any accidents and or injuries, and for looking after any medical equipment (e.g. an Epipen).   The Hirer must report any accidents to the

Party Host and it must be documented in the accident book. A First Aid Kit, hand sanitiser and PPE will be available for use.

2.9 Hirers are expected to take all reasonable steps to respect and maintain the condition of the outside space and outdoor environment. Care should be taken with regard to the dropping of party food and litter which can pose a risk to birds and squirrels etc that often frequent the Bridge’s outdoor space.

2.10   In line with the ethos of The Bridge any party products should be non-toxic and bio-degradable where possible.  Orbeze and water balloons are strictly forbidden.  Products such as pinatas, balloons, confetti, party poppers, nerf bullets and any water play should be managed with care and the hirer must clear away and remove all traces before vacating the venue at the end of the hire period. These items can pose an environmental and health risk.  Failure to do so will be considered a breach of conditions and may result in the retention of part or all of the paid deposit.  If in doubt as to the use of any party products, we request that you contact The Bridge before the date of the party to check whether this can be authorised.

 2.11 Any party decorations put up outside (e.g. put up on railings) should be carefully attached using string or thread. The use of duck/duct tape and sticky tape on railings etc is not permitted as these could easily damage paintwork and surfaces.

2.12 Chewing gum,  smoking  and vaping  are not permitted anywhere in the venue / grounds.

2.13 Buggies: Buggies and prams are to remain outside at all times and are not permitted in the building.  The top single Bridge gate (by Pistachios Café) will remain unlocked throughout the party and is the only entry/exit point.

2.14 Vehicular access: The hirer and guests must not bring vehicles (eg. vans, cars, motor-cycles) into the park by order of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.  The Bridge has a system in place to assist with transporting party goods to and from the park entrance.

This information will be made available to you prior to your party.

2.15 Inflatables: If a commercial inflatable (e.g. Bouncy Castle) is planned to be used in the grounds then a copy of the supplier’s Public Liability Certificate must be given to The Bridge at least 7 days before the Date of Hire.  The Bridge takes no responsibility for and will not accept any liability for any damage and/or loss sustained arising from or connected with the use of commercial or hirer-supplied inflatables.

2.16 Noise: The hirer must ensure that there is no excessive noise or any anti-social behaviour on site.  There is to be no amplified music from a sound system or stereo played outside.

2.17 Party food should be provided, if required, in separate individual party boxes which, as per all rubbish, are to disposed of responsibly (See 2.21 below).  No eating or drinking is allowed while playing on the playground equipment and in the playground areas.  No BBQs or any other open flames as disallowed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich council.

2.18 Tables and chairs: There are tables and chairs available to seat 27 children, or you are welcome to bring picnic blankets to sit on.

2.18 Management and/or the Party Host reserve the right to enter the venue and grounds at all times and to stop any practice, deemed unacceptable or after due consideration of complaints from local residents.

2.19 Towards the end of the Period of Hire, The Hirer should bring any outdoor toys / ride-ons etc. that belong to the Bridge to the area by the outside the container (as advised by the Party Host). The Party Host will then deal with these items and put away in the relevant place.

2.20 All items belonging to the hirer and/or any external suppliers must be removed from the venue and site by the end of the Period of Hire. The venue must be left clean and litter-free in accordance with the check-list issued to The Hirer at the start of the Period of Hire.  Failure to do this may result in the retention of the damages deposit (See 1.5 above).

2.21 The hirer must place rubbish in the appropriate sacks provided by The Bridge.  The Hirer should not use the large black and blue bins at the back of the building. The Party Host is responsible for managing the disposal of the rubbish bags and putting the relevant waste in the large bins at the rear of the centre.

2.22 The Hirer must remove any helium cannisters at the end of the Period of Hire.  Failure to do so will be considered a Breach of Conditions (See 1.5 above).

2.23 You must be ready to vacate the venue at the time specified in the Booking Confirmation (Contract).   You must check and clean the site and venue as per the check list supplied to you at the beginning of the Period of Hire.

3. COVID 19 REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Adults and children must not attend The Bridge if they feel unwell, or if they are starting or completing a period of self-isolation, or if they have any Covid 19 symptoms. People should not attend the party if any member of their household or support group has Coronavirus symptoms or are self-isolating.

3.2 The Bridge has carried out a Risk Assessment.  A range of measures and rules have been put in place to provide a Covid secure venue and comply with Government guidelines.  The relevant Covid guidelines should be followed.  The Bridge has a QR code on display.

3.3   The Bridge will provide hand sanitiser at the gates.  All Children and Adults should use Hand Sanitiser on entering the site, on exit, and before and after using the playground equipment.

3.4 Both the arrival of, and the collection of children should be controlled by The Hirer, and the hirer is responsible for liaising with the relevant parents and carers.

3.5 The Bridge will be site checked in advance of the party. This will include the fixed playground equipment.   The fixed playground equipment is regularly checked but it is not regularly cleaned and disinfected.  All Children and Adults should use Hand Sanitiser on entering the site, on exit, and before and after using the playground equipment. The Hirer is responsible for supervising the use of the equipment at all times.

3.6 The total number of children and adults allowed on site forming the whole party group is limited to 30 maximum as per Covid restrictions*, excluding babes in arms. The Hirer is responsible for imposing this restriction on the numbers of people invited and attending and for briefing other adults about this restriction.   If a party group exceeds the capacity figure of 30, or another restriction which applies on the day, this will result in the immediate (on the spot) cancellation of the party and all guests being asked to vacate the premises immediately.

(* Note - The detailed relevant Covid rules and guidelines which apply on the date of the party will override any prior capacity figures).

3.7 The Party Host will avoid unnecessary contact and respect social distancing.  The Hirer is responsible for managing and supervising children at the party at all times.  Government guidance on social distancing should be followed.

3.8 Party food should be provided, if required, in separate individual party boxes (See 2.17 above)

3.9 If a child or adult starts to display signs/symptoms of Covid 19 while on site then the unwell child or adult should be collected /leave the site promptly and follow the Public Health England Guidance.  The hirer is responsible for contacting the appropriate adult/parent and telling the Party Host.

3.10 If an attendee at a party should subsequently test positive for Covid 19 within a 2 week period the hirer should, as soon as is practicable contact both The Bridge, the relevant parents and carers and follow Public Health England ‘Track and Trace’ process.  

The Bridge General Manager will have a record of the Bridge staff on site.  The Hirer is responsible for holding appropriate details of all children and adults attending the party (including up-to-date contact details for the relevant parents/carers) and is responsible for communicating with all relevant parties.

3.11 A First Aid kit, PPE (including masks and gloves), anti-bacterial wipes and hand sanitiser will be available on site.

3.12 The Bridge will not accept any liability for any damage and or loss sustained out of or connected with a diagnosis of Covid 19 where it is suspected that transmission may have occurred at a party at The Bridge.

3.13 The Bridge will provide black sacks for any rubbish and the Party Host will give instructions regarding waste management (See 2.21 above).

3.14 The Hirer should encourage guests to avoid dropping litter, especially used tissues, PPE, masks etc..

THESE CONDITIONS OF HIRE FORM PART OF THE PARTY HIRE CONTRACT.

CONDITIONS OF PRIVATE PARTY HIRE (Outdoor with Toilet Access)

From June 16th 2021

1.4 The Hire Agreement Period is the Period of Hire is as specified in the Booking Confirmation.

2.7 Toilet Access:  Under current restrictions, we are able to open the indoor space for toilet acess and for maximum 6 adults only, and it must be the same 6 adults for the duration of the party.  It is recommended that this indoor access is only used by the Hirer and those needing to use the toilet facilities.  The indoor space MUST NOT  be used by children, to serve party food, or to escape bad weather etc.  No party decorations are permitted inside the buiding.  The Party Host will remain on-site throughout the Period of Hire.  Failure to adhere to this may result in the retention of the damages deposit (See 1.5) and The Bridge may be fined.

One adult at a time in the toilet facility is allowed. Antibacterial wipes will be available in the toilet. The toilet, tap, changing tray and door handle need to be wiped after use with the wipes provided.  Baby changing facilities are available in the toilet. The antibacterial wipes provided must be used before and after each use and parents/carers must use their own changing mat.

2.18 Party food should be provided, if required, in separate individual party boxes which, as per all rubbish, are to disposed of responsibly (See 2.21 below).  No eating or drinking is allowed while playing on the playground equipment and in the playground areas.  No BBQs or any other open flames as disallowed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich council.

2.19 Tables and chairs: There are tables and chairs available to seat 27 children, or you are welcome to bring picnic blankets to sit on.

2.20 Management and/or the Party Host reserve the right to enter the venue and grounds at all times and to stop any practice, deemed unacceptable or after due consideration of complaints from local residents.

2.21 Towards the end of the Period of Hire, The Hirer should bring any outdoor toys / ride-ons etc. that belong to the Bridge to the area by the outside the container (as advised by the Party Host). The Party Host will then deal with these items and put away in the relevant place.

2.22 All items belonging to the hirer and/or any external suppliers must be removed from the venue and site by the end of the Period of Hire. The venue must be left clean and litter-free in accordance with the check-list issued to The Hirer at the start of the Period of Hire.  Failure to do this may result in the retention of the damages deposit (See 1.5 above).

2.23 The hirer must place rubbish in the appropriate sacks provided by The Bridge.  The Hirer should not use the large black and blue bins at the back of the building. The Party Host is responsible for managing the disposal of the rubbish bags and putting the relevant waste in the large bins at the rear of the centre.

2.24 The Hirer must remove any helium cannisters at the end of the Period of Hire.  Failure to do so will be considered a Breach of Conditions (See 1.5 above).

2.25 You must be ready to vacate the venue at the time specified in the Booking Confirmation (Contract).   You must check and clean the site and venue as per the check list supplied to you at the beginning of the Period of Hire.

3. COVID 19 REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Adults and children must not attend The Bridge if they feel unwell, or if they are starting or completing a period of self-isolation, or if they have any Covid 19 symptoms. People should not attend the party if any member of their household or support group has Coronavirus symptoms or are self-isolating.

3.2 The Bridge has carried out a Risk Assessment.  A range of measures and rules have been put in place to provide a Covid secure venue and comply with Government guidelines.  The relevant Covid guidelines should be followed.  The Bridge has a QR code on display.

3.3 The indoor space is only to be used for toilet access (see 2.7) and maximum 6 people (the same 6 people for the duration of the party). The indoor space MUST NOT  be used by children, to serve party food, to escape bad weather etc.  

3.4   The Bridge will provide hand sanitiser at the gates.  All Children and Adults should use Hand Sanitiser on entering the site, on exit, and before and after using the playground equipment.

3.5 Both the arrival of, and the collection of children should be controlled by The Hirer, and the hirer is responsible for liaising with the relevant parents and carers.

3.6 The Bridge will be site checked in advance of the party. This will include the fixed playground equipment.   The fixed playground equipment is regularly checked but it is not regularly cleaned and disinfected.  All Children and Adults should use Hand Sanitiser on entering the site, on exit, and before and after using the playground equipment. The Hirer is responsible for supervising the use of the equipment at all times.

3.7 The total number of children and adults allowed on site forming the whole party group is limited to 30 maximum as per Covid restrictions*, excluding babes in arms. The Hirer is responsible for imposing this restriction on the numbers of people invited and attending and for briefing other adults about this restriction.   If a party group exceeds the capacity figure of 30, or another restriction which applies on the day, this will result in the immediate (on the spot) cancellation of the party and all guests being asked to vacate the premises immediately.

(* Note - The detailed relevant Covid rules and guidelines which apply on the date of the party will override any prior capacity figures).

3.8 The Party Host will avoid unnecessary contact and respect social distancing.  The Hirer is responsible for managing and supervising children at the party at all times.  Government guidance on social distancing should be followed.

3.9 Party food should be provided, if required, in separate individual party boxes (See 2.17 above)

3.10 If a child or adult starts to display signs/symptoms of Covid 19 while on site then the unwell child or adult should be collected /leave the site promptly and follow the Public Health England Guidance.  The hirer is responsible for contacting the appropriate adult/parent and telling the Party Host.

3.11 If an attendee at a party should subsequently test positive for Covid 19 within a 2 week period the hirer should, as soon as is practicable contact both The Bridge, the relevant parents and carers and follow Public Health England ‘Track and Trace’ process.  

The Bridge General Manager will have a record of the Bridge staff on site.  The Hirer is responsible for holding appropriate details of all children and adults attending the party (including up-to-date contact details for the relevant parents/carers) and is responsible for communicating with all relevant parties.

3.12 A First Aid kit, PPE (including masks and gloves), anti-bacterial wipes and hand sanitiser will be available on site.

3.13 The Bridge will not accept any liability for any damage and or loss sustained out of or connected with a diagnosis of Covid 19 where it is suspected that transmission may have occurred at a party at The Bridge.

3.14 The Bridge will provide black sacks for any rubbish and the Party Host will give instructions regarding waste management (See 2.21 above).

3.15 The Hirer should encourage guests to avoid dropping litter, especially used tissues, PPE, masks etc..

THESE CONDITIONS OF HIRE FORM PART OF THE PARTY HIRE CONTRACT.

CONDITIONS OF PRIVATE PARTY HIRE (Indoor & Outdoor)

Provisionally from July 19th 2021 depending on planned changes to Government Guidance.

1  BOOKING, PAYMENT, CONTRACT AND USE OF VENUE

 1.1 Enquiries, bookings to use the venue for a private party and payments must be made via the website https://www.thebridgegreenwich.co.uk

1.2 In order to secure the date and time it is necessary to pay in full in advance. From 21st June 2021 we are able to offer the inside as well as the outside space for parties, based on the planned easing of Government lockdown rules and guidelines (see Section 3)

1.3 Giant Games (which includes Giant Connect 4, Jumbo Size Jenga and Mini Roller Coaster) are available for an extra £30.00 and can be booked through The Bridge Website Shop.

1.4 A Bluetooth Speaker is available for hire for use inside the building for an extra £15.00.  This can be booked through The Bridge Website Shop.  

1.5 The Hire Agreement Period is the Period of Hire as specified in the Booking Confirmation.

1.6 Receipt of the Party Payment, along with your agreement to these Conditions, and the Booking Confirmation, forms The Contract.

1.7 Deposit: The Party Payment includes a Deposit of £50 required to cover any damage /or Breach of Conditions during the Hire Agreement Period.  The amount of Deposit retained in the event of a Breach or Considered Breach of the Conditions (including, but not limited to damage, or over-running of events), will be made entirely at the discretion of the General Manager (supported by the Board) whose decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.  This condition is without prejudice to any other right of set off exercisable by the Board.

1.8 Refunds: Once a booking has been made and paid for refunds will not be made in the event of cancellation by the Hirer. The Party Payment can only be refunded if the party cannot go ahead as planned due to Government Covid regulations and/or guidance at the relevant time which means that The Bridge is closed and/or unavailable for hire as a party venue.

2  CONDITIONS OF USE

2.1 The Hirer can make use of the venue solely as described within these Conditions and the Booking Confirmation. Any other use of the venue may result in the immediate (on the spot) cancellation of the party and all guests being asked to vacate the premises immediately.  The Bridge will not accept any liability for any damage and/or loss sustained arising from or connected with unauthorised use of the venue.

2.2 The maximum capacity (covering inside and outside) is 40 and this must not be exceeded as our insurance does not allow for over 40 people on-site. This includes all adults, children and babies in the party group.  We cannot accept bookings for over 40 people.

2.3 The Bridge will be site checked in advance of the party. This will include the playground equipment.

2.4 The Hirer is responsible for any damage to the venue and its contents (inside or outside), including (but not restricted to) any damage to walls, floors, doors, tables, chairs, toilets, playground equipment, raised beds, benches, trees, plants and garden, regardless of whether or not The Hirer had authorised access to those areas under the provisions of this Contract.  All damage, however minor, must be reported to the Party Host at the end of the Period of Hire Period and failure to do so will be considered a Breach of the Conditions and may result in the retention of part or all of the paid Deposit.  The Venue will be inspected at the end of the Hire Period and any damage reported to the General Manager (see 1.7) 

2.5 The Bridge East Greenwich CIC shall not be liable for any loss or damage to person or property from any cause whatsoever (excluding negligence or default of The Bridge) arising out of or in connection with The Hirer’s use and occupation of the venue.

2.6 Children are to be supervised at all times by adults.

2.7 Children and adults are not permitted in the Forest School site; this area is only used for specially run Forest School, outdoor education and therapeutic sessions.

2.8 The outside storage container should remain closed to both adults and children for the duration of the party. In the event that children do, contrary to the provisions of this contract, access the outside storage container, adults should be aware that it contains hazardous materials that pose a risk of injury or accident. 

2.9 The two storerooms inside The Bridge building are to be kept closed throughout the Period of Hire. Children must not be allowed access to these two storerooms at any time. In the event that children do, contrary to the provisions of this contract, access these rooms, adults should be aware that the internal store rooms contain hazardous materials that pose a risk of injury or accident.

2.10 The Hirer is responsible for dealing with any accidents and or injuries, and for looking after any medical equipment (e.g. an Epipen).  The Hirer must report any accidents to the Party Host and they must be documented in the accident book.   A First Aid Kit, hand sanitiser, anti-bacterial wipes and PPE will be available for use.

2.11 Hirers are expected to take all reasonable steps to respect and maintain the condition of the inside space, outside space and outdoor environment. Care should be taken with regard to the dropping of party food and litter which can pose a risk to birds, squirrels etc that often frequent the Bridge’s outdoor space.  Party food waste, used party boxes and partyware etc must be disposed of responsibly, as per all rubbish (see 2.30)

2.12   In line with the ethos of The Bridge any party products should be non-toxic and bio-degradable where possible.  Orbeze and water balloons are strictly forbidden.  Products such as pinatas, balloons, confetti, party poppers, nerf bullets and any water play should be managed with care and the hirer must clear away and remove all traces before vacating the venue at the end of the hire period.  These items can pose an environmental and health risk.  Failure to do so will be considered a breach of conditions and may result in the retention of part or all of the paid deposit.  If in doubt as to the use of any party products, we request that you contact The Bridge before the date of the party to check whether this can be authorised.

2.13 Decorations: ‘Bluetac’, Sellotape, duck/duct tape and similar products must not be used inside or outside for putting up any party decorations or sheets of paper as this can damage walls, railings, play equipment etc. and affect the retention of the paid deposit (see 1.7).  Any decorations should be attached using string or thread. All decorations must be removed by the end of the Period of Hire (see 1.5)

2.14 Awning:  The Bridge awnings can be put up by the Party Host at the beginning of the Period of Hire if required.

2.15 Kitchen: The kitchen area is available for use by the hirer, including the kitchen worktop, sink/drainer and fridge.  Drinking water is available from the cold kitchen tap. A kettle will be available.  Please note, access to the kitchen cupboards is not allowed under any circumstances and the Bridge cannot supply items such as cups, bowls, plates, cutlery.  The hirer must provide their own party-ware such as party boxes, cups and plates.

2.16 Cake Knife: The Hirer will need to provide, as required, an appropriate knife for cutting cake and also safety matches or a suitable lighter for lighting any birthday candles.  The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that children are supervised and for taking all necessary precautions to avoid harm.

2.17 Glass, Hot Drinks & Alcohol: Drinks glasses are not permitted on-site due to potential risk of injury from broken glass; plastic or paper party cups must be provided by the Hirer, as required. Secure, lidded cups must be used for any hot drinks. Alcohol may be provided for adults but glass bottles are not permitted for safety reasons.

2.18 Party Food: No eating or drinking is permitted on the playground equipment and in the playground area.  The Hirer is responsible for supervising the use of the playground equipment during the Period of Hire.  No BBQs or any other open flames are permitted; these are disallowed by the Royal Borough of Greenwich council

2.19 Tables and chairs: There are tables and chairs available to seat 27 children, which the Party Host can set up at the beginning of the Period of Hire if requested by the Hirer.  You are welcome to bring picnic blankets to sit on.

2.20 Chewing gum and smoking (including vaping) are not permitted anywhere in the venue / grounds.

2.21 Buggies: Buggies and prams are to remain outside at all times and are not permitted in the building.  Fire exits must be kept clear.  The top single Bridge gate (by Pistachios Café) will remain unlocked throughout the party and is the only entry/exit point.

2.22 Vehicular access: The Hirer and guests must not bring vehicles (eg. vans, cars, motor-cycles) into the park by order of the Royal Borough of Greenwich.  The Party Host will meet you at the start of your Hire Period at the Chevening Road gate to help you bring anything from your car.

2.23 Inflatables: If a commercial inflatable (eg Bouncy Castle) is planned to be used in the grounds then a copy of the supplier’s Public Liability Certificate must be given to The Bridge at least 7 days before the Date of Hire.  The Bridge takes no responsibility for and will not accept any liability for any damage and/or loss sustained arising from or connected with the use of commercial or hirer-supplied inflatables.

2.24 Noise: The hirer must ensure that there is no excessive noise or any anti-social behaviour on site.  There is to be no amplified music from a sound system or stereo played outside. A Bluetooth speaker is available for hire and can be used inside the building but the volume must be kept to an acceptable level (see 1.4).

2.25 Management and/or the Party Host reserve the right to enter the venue and grounds at all times and to stop any practice, deemed unacceptable or after due consideration of complaints from local residents.

2.26 Toilets:  One adult at a time in the toilet facility is allowed. Antibacterial wipes will be available in the toilet. The toilet, tap, changing tray and door handle need to be wiped after use with the wipes provided.  Baby changing facilities are available in the toilet. The antibacterial wipes provided must be used before and after each use and parents/carers must use their own changing mat.

2.27 Towards the end of the Period of Hire the Hirer should bring any outdoor toys/ ride-ons etc that belong to the Bridge to the area by the outside of the container (as advised by the Party Host). The Party Host will then deal with these items and put away in the relevant place.

The Bridge is tucked away next to Pistachio's cafe in East Greenwich Pleasaunce.  There are 2 entrances to the Pleasaunce, Halstow Road and Chevening Road.   See map below.

Strictly no cars are allowed in the park – this includes party hirers and  guests. The council make an exception for Bouncy Castle providers.  We have a large trolleys designed for moving party equipment around.  If you are having a party, your party host can meet you at the Chevening Road entrance to the park where you can unload your car and park it in a nearby street and walk the trolley and your party items up to the Bridge.  You can then use the trolley to bring all your party items back to your car at the end of you party and return the trolley to your host.

Cars are not permitted into the Pleasaunce, but there is 2hrs free parking on both Halstow Road and Chevening Road (or Zone W parking permits) and free parking on Coleraine Road less than 5 minute walk away.

To enable us to stay Covid-secure, all sessions must be booked in advance via the Bookings page on our website.  We are unable to take any drop ins at the moment and we are unable to take cash payments.  Thank you for your understanding during this complex time.

We are now open for bookings for parties. The slot times are as follows:

Saturday 11am - 2pm (party time 11.30am - 1.30pm)

Sunday 10am-1pm (party time 10:30-12:30pm)

Sunday 2pm - 5pm (party time 2.30pm - 4.30pm)

The slot includes 30 minutes either side of the party time to set up/clear away.

All bookings must be made through our website shop.  Please select the date you wish to book and pay for it online. You must agree to the Conditions of Hire in order to complete the booking. We do charge a £50 damage deposit (included in the £200 hire fee) which will be refunded after your party, unless the Conditions of Hire are breached (please see Conditions of Hire for details). 

You will receive an email to confirm your booking and to give you all the information you will need for the day including recommended entertainers, bouncy castle hire, catering options etc. 

We will refund your booking, less an admin charge, if Government guidelines change and the party is not permitted to go ahead. I'm afraid we can't refund due to bad weather or self-isolation but if availability allows, we can look to move your booking to a later date. 

Party Packages:  We are currently able to offer our Giant Games package for £30 (including Giant Connect 4, Jumbo Jenga & Mini-rollercoaster), Bluetooth Speaker for £15 and Soft Play for £60 (Saturdays only). Discount available for bundles.
